Moon Lee shameful and false statements during her interview with Phoenix TV in China in January were totally self-serving. She is really so ashamed of her own actions that she will always have the need to blame her self-induced misfortune on someone else. The television station and its associates were of course guilty of complicity in Moon Lee’s defamation of my personal reputation.
My China attorneys initially recommended that I sue both the television station AND Moon Lee. However, they found out later that Moon is essentially in hiding. It would take a long time to find and serve a lawsuit against a “ghost”. That is why I voted to drop her as a “defendant” in this action. Suing the television station is more impactful because they knowingly allowed Moon Lee to lie to the entire audience.
My lawsuit filed against Phoenix TV is also a matter of legal importance. In America, media and reporters have special protection under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution. They can almost report anything and blame unidentifiable sources without legal jeopardy. My legal action on this occasion in China will test whether Chinese media can knowingly propagate a lie that defames another party.
For years, Moon Lee has been hiding in shame. In contrast, I have been standing up proudly on the side of truth. I make truthful declarations about the facts of my life often. I am an open book and am always available; anybody can find me and serve me with a lawsuit and I will be proud to defend myself. Moon Lee hides; she is not available to be challenged and she will never stand up to face the truth. She cannot sue me for defamation because she knows my side of the story is factual.
Win or lose, my defamation lawsuit will provide an opportunity to litigate the truth. The shocking details behind Moon Lee’s divorce will be exposed and litigated! There is no place for Moon Lee to hide from the truth.
